Good start -- however, too busy for a logo. Remember: KISS. Like idea of a camaro emblem. Moving in right direction.

Too open for an embroiderer and put the Camaro logo in it.

Make the outer band red with white letters, the Camaro logo red, white & blue, and the Southeast CamaroZ banner blue with white letters. Outline the Camaro logo with the outline of Georgia. Keep everything red, white and blue - no black letters or outlines. Take out "Northside" and "Southside" and put in the web address, but leave in Atlanta, Georgia.

I think the River City logo is good -- crisp, clean, not too clutered.

Good start. Not sure if you should put Atlanta, GA on it. Unless you want to keep it just a GA club. Maybe something like putting Georgia chapter or something.........I like the Camaro logo idea too, if we can get it too work.

Put a map of the south east in the center. Southeast camaoZ.com on top inside part of the circle on the Banner put that on the upper right hand of the banner. With Georgia map on the left upper hand side of the banner.

The logo in its current form is a good starting base. I know we are Southeast CamaroZ and I don't rule out expansion and inclusion to southeastern states, but I wonder if membership would spread to such distances. I like the idea of the Camaro logo super-imposed over the outline of the State of Georgia, use of red, white, and blue, and the web site listed. Is River City F-bodies logo trademarked? Just want to be careful that we don't unnecessarily offend our brothers and sisters.

eh....did not turn out as I wanted..
I was thinkin you could put the ga map on the roof, then put For the Camaro Enthusiast
below that...
anyway...did not mean to take you in a total different direction on this..
im curious to what yall come up with..

We are getting a lot of good ideas on logo design. This free-wheeling phase of any design project is good. Ideas should not be restricted. At some point, however, I think it would be sound decision to form a small committee that can work closely together to consider all of these great ideas. Then this committee, maybe 3 or so, and at least one of which should possess graphics and/or CAD skills (and I think we have at least one), could prepare a draft for the whole membership to consider.

If we want to get a banner constructed, business/membership cards, caps/shirts, etc, we need to come up with a design. Characteristics of a good logo include: originality, clarity, impact, ability to recognized at least at some distance, ability to be attractive/legible in either color or black and while, and above all SIMPLE.

So far, the consensus seems to be we have the words Southeast CamaroZ somewhere in the logo, the Camaro logo itself should be contained, and the colors of red, white, and blue should be used.

Other ideas include website URL, state of Georgia (outline ) map,
North and South chapters, some text touting the love of Camaro's.

That's my take. Please add your 2 cents so we can get this going .

One thing is for sure We can not have a camaro emblem on the Logo or a GM camaro script.. GM and Ford have been sueing for copyright abuse

Could we design our own version of the logo or will that still get us in to trouble?

I do not agree with this comment. Scott Settlemire has seen the RCFB logo many times and has said nothing. Most Camaro clubs include the Camaro logo somewhere in their club logo. I'd say "let's go with it". Afterall, we are buying and promoting their cars aren't we?

Me too! We have to have the camaro logo on our club logo somewhere or somehow. Its a camaro club, if people complain about a CAMARO car club using that logo then I will be absolutly speechless. I think we can make it happen.:D

Don't know what's gonna happen with the Camaro logo (legally), but if something were to happen, I would put Mustang badges on my Camaro!

Not really!

It really wont be a problem using the Camaro logo. We're just a club, where not trying to make money from it.

I belong to another (non-car) club that had same issue. They addressed it by placing a statement in their bylaws that any symbol, likeness, logo, etc. of the company was purely for identifiation purposes and was in no way associated with or representing the company. Hopefully we won't have to resort to any of these legal theatrics.

You would think the GM/Chevy honchos would embrace clubs like ours doing their 5th gen PR work for them. Oh well.
