I notice there are at least three 2002 models in our club. I recently received a latter from GM about the cat converter. The short of it is, the cat converter warranty is extended to 100,000 or 10 years whichever comes first. If either the left or right cat needs replacing, authorized GM dealers only will do all repairs, parts and labor. I have my letter and would be happy to fax/mail to anyone who didn't get theirs. Also, you don't have to be the original owner to qualify. HAs GM done something right? ;)

They go back to at least 2000. Another member has that year and received a letter as well.

maybe you could say they fell off b/c of factory defect, just like mine did:D , and get them to buy you some more and then you could sell those :p

I thought about that Betty, but if you do that they will demand to install them for ya. They wont just give them to you.

get rid of the cats and you wont have to deal with the dysfunction of the "qualified" gm techs
