Southeast Camaro/Firebird Name Change

Over the last 3 years we have had interest of some real nice folks in joining that own Firebirds. I have in the past was looking into starting Southeast Firebirds. Instead of doing 2 separate clubs just do the one. We get more friends,ideas to help us grow as a club and more friendships that can last. Yes i know there is cost's involved with this change. Club shirts logo and incorporate name change also.
so express your opinion and idea's

I really like having "CamaroZ" as part of the name --but opening up to Firebirds is great.

I agree with both Bruce and Larry. Why would we consider a change at this time? These are tough times for everyone.

:D why not leave name as is and just invite others to join us till the the club has money for the change . we can change caps , shirts , etc with new logo for new members and existing members that want new items as well .

Having given it a full day I cast a no vote on opening SouthEast CamaroZ to any marque other than the Chevrolet Camaro. I will support the popular vote with-out hesitation and will welcome the change if it is made so. The club was chartered and founded on that base, Dean and I have made a ton of good friends and I am sure that is not going to change no matter what. The fact the we are a Camaro club and the cross section of members there in is what brought me here to begin with.

The cost so far 40.00 to file amendment of the name change. The clubs shirts & hats is the set up fee adding the name . Next would be change of the club banners that would be bought over time. Next is the club Logo Southest Camaro/Firebird.com We use up all the old cards replace when needed and sell the remaining t shirts and koozies off. Which would used to offset the cost to change over.

Why not make it Southeast CamaroZ, Pontiac firebird, VW Passsat, Ford escort GT, Nissan Sentra R, Honda CRX, Dodge Neon, and every other phuchin car on the planet club. I'll go for that but if you let mustangs in I quit.

I'm confused, can I now bring my Yaris to the shows? Would alternate, SS one show, Yaris to the next. Don't worry about the accelerator sticking, if the brakes don't work I have my own back up system, I drag my feet. Mighty Mouse

I would like for this club grow. Getting other f-body cars involve will only help. I have been a member little over a year and i have not seen any improvements. Just my two cents...... And i do not think this is a laughting matter when other clubs are just getting better.
5th gen atlanta club is having there first meet in atlanta with sponsors and a 3day weekend of fun and club is not even a year old.

If you want a 5th gen so you can join their club I have a bunch of them on the lot for sale...I will sell any of them for invoice...maybe a little back of invoice....notice that they only allow 5th gen Camaros in their club..what a novel idea ..:rolleyes:

members will come and go

the people in charge should make a decision and get it over with

and i do not need a 5th gen to join a club to have fun, i injoy track days and autocross 4 times a year
also not to mention my car will out perform any stock and manybe a not so stock 5th gen on a road course

why not just start a sister club. you could have both clubs at events but you would not be pilling everyone in to one club.seems there are about 50/50 on letting the firebirds in so have a joint membership if you want. keeping the camaros and firebirds separate.thats just my 2 cents

at the end they are all cars. i injoy all kinds of cars and i have a good time with members of this club. so what ever is it comes to be as long there are cars and good people i am staying.

I like the Camaro Z name as well but I am open to the Firebirds/Trans Ams and the sister club would work too. I will stand behind you no matter what
