I ran up on this 93Z with a 350. The windshield says bad motor $1800. Is there anything I need to know about this year camaros that would cause a problem? It's an autotrans car that's loaded. Body is straight as can be expected, interoir also. Planning on freshing up the engine in the next one anyway, so engine isn't that big of a deal. Planning on getting one for the wife to have and do a bone stock car with everything from factory still there in original place. We need one to come to ya'lls crusie ins and meets easily in anyway. Does everthing in the engine compartment look in place?
The white 3rd gen in background is a 25th anniversary edition with a 305 and air, automatic but she likes the 4th gens better.

Looks pretty good. it looks like everything is there. the big issue with these engines is the optispark. how many miles are on the car?

The opti-spark is one problem with that car, believe me that is just like mine! I went through problem, but if you are gong to do the motor up then that will be the perfect time for that. You will def. want a set of headers otherwise the spark plugs are almost immpossible to change! TRUST ME ON THIS ONE!!! They are a little pricey to work on and theyre a pain sometimes but I love mine! Ohh, and that year car didnt have the MAF system it has a forced air induction setup. But its a cool car though!

My oldest son has a 89 rs with a 93 z motor in it and he put Hedman ceramic coated shorty headers with the heat shields on the plug wires. These feed into a 3 inch pipes into a 4inch exaust. The car ran good on the strip with stock 89 rearend. Now it has a 373 posi. he's in Nashville attending Nashville auto diesel college and hopes to be at g11 for aday or so. You just about have to put those heat shields on the plug wires, if you dont have those or you dont run the wires right the spark plugs WILL burn up with a quickness! I had those problems with mine, the boot it self caught on fire because of the headers and if the wires get a little to close to the headers you will be buying a new set of wires!
