Was watching Live Vegas now. Had a 70 Z that went for 70k. They said all 70 Z28's had floor mount gas pedals. All others were hangers. First I knew of that. anyone else?

No A/C 67 thru 72 and I forget the redline # on the tach and speeddo also. 4 speed was M20 M21 M22 ...auto was the th400 67 was 302 in 68 started Z/28 which was the option code Z28
70 thru 72 Z28 on the trim tag while Z27 was for the SS
Later in was engine code in the Vin #

Greg, I was talking about the gas pedal. Never heard of the Z mounted on the floor board. All others were hung. Bible (white book) does not say anything about it.:D
Yea I know about the trim tag...But folks over look some things when making one. lol

Also both 81's I had, one was Norwood had Z28 on cowl tag. The other didnt. It was Van Nuys. both had build sheets. I kept the Norwood car.

That is correct about the floor mounted gas peddle. It was like that on the early second gen Z28's. And, yes you are also correct about the Z28 on the cowl tag. Norwood cars had it, but Van Nuys cars did not.

The tach was a 8000 rpm unit with a 6500 rpm redline. The 70 z28 was the highest horsepower production z28 ever at 360.

By the way - the floor mounted throttle is the real deal, it made heel and toe work easier for the driver.
