Just in case any of you were wondering.
I knew it was going to happen sooner or later. Just not this close to getting some paint on it. With all this going down with our nephew moving in and things getting busy at work I have not been able to touch it since last Friday and it does not look like it will be any time soon that I will be able to mess with it. I have started finishing off our basement cause our nephew will be here a while. I see why it costs so much to have it done. I am beat and have only worked on it the last two days. It is all framed except the bathroom and I am waiting on a plumber and hvac guy to come take a look to see what we can do about a bathroom. I have half the electrical run and between that and low voltage that will take me untill the end of the week and hopefully next weekend I can start to sheetrock. Now that is no fun. Then I have to find time to get the neighbors taken care of with alarm and camera systems. And I really am not going to get paid much for them. Oh well, you have to be nice sometimes. I'll still be hanging around but as far as G-12, that will be a wash for my car. I guess i'm out the $43 for the registration. What a waste. I knew I should have waited. I think i'm going to shoot for the end of June to get paint and such on it. I should'nt complain, some folks take years to get thier cars on the road. Family first.

Bring it like it is. Heck, most of us are not looking to win a little plaque just to hang out and (talk).lol

I brought my '77 to g11 less than 12hrs after getting some elec grimlins worked out. I rolled it thru a carwash and put it on the trailor without even waxing it. My paint looked like hammered dog crap but I still showed up. Given that there was only 5 2nd gens there last year ( 4 was ours ) you should bring it no matter what it looks like. The Gathering is just as much about the people as it is the cars. yours is CLEARLY a work in progress and it will be a great addition to the club's display. Don't make us CAMARONAP that 2nd gen for the weekend

I agree with the others, she doesn't have to be "dressed"...I brought mine last year on a trailer cause I didn't have it registered and insured. At that point, wasn't even sure if she'd make it all the way. Cracked windshield, incomplete interior and all.
(PSSST, Greg has a little plumbing experience...)

I dont have a trailer to bring it. No lights, exhaust and tires are not safe to drive. It will be staying right where its at untill I get paint on it and then i'll get the exhaust done and take off the old tires to redo the rims and put the new tires on. It runs pretty good, just need to fool with the timing a little. But with the tires it has now and the exhaust leaks, I dont feel comfortable driving it.

If you have a tow vehicle, Uhaul rents car trailers (not the dollies) for around $60 a day. A guy here used one to tow his Z28 to SDR for the shootout and it worked great for him. All the way down to the left fender that flips down for entry/exit. Just FYI. ;)

Everything is great at home. Actually my nephew's grades are coming up and the teachers are emailing us telling us about his total 180 degree attitude change. My son is handling it all well and was down in the basement helping out this weekend. My daughter, well, she is 3 and still bouncing off the walls. It is just that time of the year, busy and the car has to wait. At least i'm not giving up on it and selling. I should have saved the money and bought a more done car but at least this way I know what i'm getting. Money will be tight for the car as the basement and the new fence is draining us. I have most of the money to paint it. Just after that I have none for exhaust and for small incidentals. It will be alright. It just wont be out any time soon.

Oh, i'll still come down there. Just not in a camaro. Maybe i'll build a model of one and put it in the space I have reserved.

I'm sure, like at G11, we'll have someone join the club and fill the space

Not to hijack the thread but since you mentioned it, do we need to let someone know that we registered as a Southeast CamaroZ member so they can get a count for the number of spaces the club needs?
